Applying high-end elastomeric waterproofing membranes, dimple boards, and weeping tiles to a moving foundation is a temporary fix. When subsoil settlement causes footings to sink or bow inward, the structural shearing force easily rips waterproof coatings and breaks drainage pipe joints. By underpinning the wall with helical piles before or during membrane installation, we permanently lock the concrete footing in place.
Digging a deep trench along an existing foundation wall to expose the footings for weeping tile installation removes critical lateral soil pressure. On compromised or aging foundations, this excavation can cause footings to shift, rotate, or sink.
Installing helical piles alongside the foundation provides pinpoint vertical load support, allowing waterproofing crews to dig down to the footing base and install exterior drainage systems safely without risking structural collapse.
Combining structural foundation repairs with exterior weeping tile and waterproofing requires proper municipal building permits across Ontario. We supply complete stamped engineered shop drawings upfront.
